Njswim, in conjunction with the Swim For Life Foundation, will be presenting the Safer-3 Program to local Preschools in your area. The Swim for Life Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of drowning through education. Each interactive presentation will be approximately 30 minutes in length and cover basic water safety in and around pools, ocean, and lakes as well as 9-1-1 emergency response. If you would like Njswim to visit your child's school, please email us at info@njswim.com.

The elements of the Safer 3 message include: 1. Safer Water (providing barriers around water to prevent unauthorized entry in a backyard pool or spa, knowing where and what risks are present in open bodies of water & swimming where there is a lifeguard present) 2. Safer Kids (maintaining active adult supervision, teaching children to swim and knowing and following water safety rules) and 3. Safer Response (being prepared for an emergency, learn CPR and rescue methods).

For the Parents
Over the past 10 years Njswim has developed it’s Learn to Float philosophy. At the core of “Learn to Float” is the belief that balance, buoyancy, and body position are the key elements to proper swimming technique. Coupled with the Learn to Float philosophy is the consistency of our program. Learning to swim is a process of acquiring and practicing skills, this is why Njswim offers swim lessons year-round. Developing proper swimming techniques takes consistent, structured lessons, thoroughly trained teachers and a solid developmental progression based on fundamentals. Each teacher must complete meticulous training and a three month probationary period before receiving their certifications as an Njswim teacher.

For the teachers
A representative from Njswim will conduct a 20-30 minute interactive assembly for your school. Students will be lead through a series of aquatic safely storyboards designed specifically for preschools. Njswim is partnered with the Swim for Life Foundation and the American Red Cross in an effort to promote aquatic safety and awareness to school age children. While no child can be considered 100% water safe, it is our mission and goal to develop a community of water-savvy children.
